My least favorite kind of site. Basically a promotion for the South Beach Diet, written by the author of the SBD book, masquerading as a scientific journal article. As the expert's rating notes, this journal is not peer-reviewed, so basically the author could say just about anything he wants. Lots of useful information on American diets and the problems with a high-carb diet, but when he actually gets to talking about the South Beach Diet, the only study he cites is his own. At best, not a particularly good gauge of the efficacy of the SBD, and at worst, it could be misleading.
